how did your truthing fare over the holidays?

i had a couple of brazen outbursts while visiting sister and bro-in-law. After a tiring 8-hour trip, dinner, wine, a little champagne, hanging around a neighbor's kitchen table; and even though many so-called liberal dems present, a couple of older gents pontificating about the dangers of Islamic fundamentalism, of course, i burst into this discussion going down amongst my family and strangers, with hands raised and an intensely commanding voice, "wait a minute, now just wait a minute! you want to talk about terrorism: has anyone heard about what Israel is now doing in Gaza? and have you heard about this little vessel carrying aid that was surrounded, harrassed, shot at, accused of terrorism, and then rammed and sent off limping to Lebanon???!!!" one charming little old French-Canadian woman, God bless her, had nodded and encouraged me on "yes, yes, humanitarian aid, right?"

at this point,there was no stopping this emotional truth dump-op on Kate's part: "and by the way, 911 was an inside job, and it was not done by Muslims Arab terrorists, it was mossad and zionist supporters in the US who brought down the towers!!!"  silence. end of discussion. the party picked itself up and carried on in normal and neighborly polite fashion.

a bit embarrassing for my family, i supposed, but what the fuck....this truthing is so exasperating and frustrating. especially when people just do not want to address this important issue!
